Crafty Chick's Weekly Challenge #2

This week we were challenged to make another layout.  Our requirements were to pick a verb and scrap the verb using a one or two page layout.  We needed to include a banner, journaling, use at least one cricut cut, and use embossing of some sort.

I had many ideas for verbs, but none seemed to fit my pictures for scouts.  So then I decided to make a double layout for our ski trip at the end of this month.

My verb is snowboarding!  All 3 boys are going to try snowboarding despite all of the moms’ worries.  My title says Dare Devils (kinda hard to read in the photos.)  I used the Dude Lite cart for the snowboards (Thanks AnnMa!!!!) and the Cuttin’ Up cart for the lettering on the banners.  My embossing was embossing folders.  I used the smoosh technique on the banner flags (CTMH Indian Corn Blue ink) with the Snowflakes folder from Sizzix.  On my photo mats, I used the Distressed Snow folder from CuttleBug.  My journaling spot is from We R Memory Keepers the Teen Angst line (quite fitting for our almost teenagers).  I loved the colors, the cool blues and the swirls made it feel like snow to me.

I hope you like the layout.  It’s my turn to come up with the challenge for next week so I have to go rack my brain for some ideas.
