Crafty Chick's Weekly Challenge #5

So for CCWC #5, Jenn P used the upcoming holiday for inspirations.  We were supposed to create a Valentine’s LO and use: vellum, colored ink, and Popdots (make something stand out). 

So I KNOW I packed my vellum especially for this project.  Ask Jenn W!  I tore everything apart, I could NOT find it.  So I settled on pearlescent pink paper from a Valentine’s kit I received in a shoebox swap last year to make the heart.  (OF course I found the vellum AFTER I had finished the layout). J

I used CTMH Holiday red ink with the new Boehmian alphabet to stamp the sentiment.  I pop-dotted the pink heart and used pics from Robbie’s and my 10^th anniversary/renewal ceremony in 2004.

On to the next challenge!  LOL!

Crafty Chick's Weekly Challenge #4

OK.  So I’m a little behind on posting challenges.  The ski trip was totally awesome!  Definitely worth the time off work and everything else.  So Jenn W supplied the challenge for CCWC#4.  Her challenge was to scrap a page or layout about yourself and include journaling and a new technique.  I was able to catch up on all the challenges while I was at the retreat in Keller with AnnMa and Jenn W and Natalie and Wynn (we missed you Jenn P)!

I poured through tons of photos looking for this one particular picture of me and my 2 sisters.  Finally found in back in the 2003 folder!  Wow!  Has it been that long????   So for my layout I used a CTMH paper pack (can’t remember the name, but I’m sure AnnMa does!).   I didn’t have two of the pictures I wanted to add, but underneath Sisters I will put the sister pic from the ones we took for my mom and dad and on the second page I am going to put the picture of myself and Paula from about 25/30 years ago. (here they are). 

So the new technique is the accordion flower (Tim Holtz has a die cut for these, but I just did it the old fashioned way.)  Here's the finished layout.

I love the way this layout turned out and I will update the pics once I print out the photos.

I will upload the rest of the pics over the week and hopefully get to work on Wynn's challenge for this week.
